2015 Las Rocas Tempranillo
Our 2015 “Las Rocas” Tempranillo, which is Spanish for “The Rocks”, is sourced
exclusively from the Stone Valley Vineyard in Milton-Freewater, OR. A soil structure
composed of gravel and basalt cobblestones stresses the vines, resulting in wines of
great character, concentration, and quality. Our second vintage of this wine pours a
rich, ruby red, and exudes aromas of tobacco leaf, humidor, clove, red cherry, and
plum. The midpalate is supple and rich in fruit sweetness, and carefully balanced by
a masculine backbone of luscious, textured tannins. Fire roasted tomato, toasted
vanilla, and mild acidity mark the finish of this well integrated Tempranillo.
